Mohave Daily News, Mohave Valley, A - Published in Mohave Daily News Online from June 23 to June 30, 2013 - ~Andrew Harold Hansen, age 91, a 10-year resident of Bullhead City, Ariz. died in his home on Saturday, April 20, 2013. ~Andy was born on August 12, 1921 in Denver, Colo., the son of Otto and Esther Hansen, the third oldest of nine siblings. ~ He married his late wife, Barbara Jean Dix, on May 23, 1942 in Las Vegas, Nev. ~During WWII, as a First Lieutenant he served as a pilot in the US Army Air Corp, flying B-17s, B-25s, and B29 bombers. ~In civilian life, he was an inventor and in the 1970's recorded his first of many patents. ~He is very loved by all and will be missed immeasurable. ~Andy was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Jean; two sons, Mike and Scott Hansen; four brothers, Vernon, Donald, Bob, Victor; and three grandchildren. ~He is survived by two daughters, Andrea Frederick of Bullhead City, Ariz., and Melissa Hansen of Grants Pass, Ore.; three brothers, Ivor, Leonard, Dale; sister, Vi Moffett; six grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great- grandchildren. ~Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, June 28, 2013 at the Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd., Riverside, Calif. with military honors proved by Blue Eagles Honor Guard.
