Erwin Grimlich, 82, of Camp Verde, died Feb. 28, in Cottonwood, Ariz.

Grimlich, who was a decorated U.S. Army veteran serving as a corporal during World War II with Gen. George Patton’s Third Army in Germany and France, attached to Troop B, 19th Calvary, is survived by his wife, Claire Grimlich; daughter Susan [Steven] Ayers, of Camp Verde; brother, Allen [Margarete] Grimlich, of Greenwich, Conn.

Services were private.
