Lola attended Buckeye Union High School and graduated in 1940. During high school, Lola met Murray Alden Johnson and, after some courting, they quickly fell in love and married in 1942. Lola was a fixture in the Buckeye area community affairs. She composed scripts, arranged music and directed Buckeye's pageants. Lola became a member of the First Southern Baptist Church of Buckeye where she taught an Adult Ladies Sunday school class for many years and was always found spreading the word of Jesus. When her husband Murray finally retired, they moved to their home in Prescott, Ariz., and 10 years later they moved to Las Fuentes Resort Village. She was also a member of PEO Chapter CO and treasured the love and attention that her sisters gave her. Murray passed away in 2007 and, after remaining for one more year in Prescott, Lola moved back to the Buckeye area where she could be closer to and relish in the love of her family and lifelong friends.
