Laura Anne Cook, 54, of Show Low died June 4, 2013. She was born Aug. 6, 1958, in Austin, Texas, to Rev. Lee and Connie Schlothauer.
Laura grew up in the Episcopal Church and continued her life as a devoted Christian. She graduated from high school in Dillon, Mont., in 1976 and continued her education at Montana State University and graduated with a B.S. degree in elementary education in 1980. Laura became a homemaker and later in her life used her degree to teach second grade in Show Low. When not teaching, Laura enjoyed spending time outdoors, traveling, good conversation and spending time with family and friends.
Laura was a fun and amazing person, mother, teacher and friend and was loved by everyone that knew her.
Laura has joined her parents and is survived by her sister Karen; two sons: Dwight and Bryan; daughter Aimee, and two grandkids, Haylee and Vynnie.
A memorial service will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, at the Whipple Ranch Elementary School, 1350 N. Central Ave. in Show Low.
