Betty Kathryn Davison passed away June 24, 2013 at the age of 89.
Betty loved her family very much and spent much time with her four children and their families. She made trips back to Illinois each year to attend her Camp family reunions, so that she could spend time with her seven brothers and sisters. Her parents, Harry and Bertha Camp, preceded her in death, along with two of her brothers, Frank and Donny; and three of her sisters, Nellie, Dorothy, and Lora. One brother, Dale, survives Betty.
She was born on Aug. 17, 1923. At the age of 23, she married Wilburn Edward Voss Jr., and during their 28 years of marriage they had four children before his death in 1967. Betty is survived by all of her children, Linda Voss Ball (Mike), Donna Voss O’Brien (Jim), Nancy Voss Monica (Frank), and Wilburn E. Voss III. Her eight grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren also survive her.
On June 4, 1977, Betty married John Davison and they were married 16 years before he passed away in 1993. She moved to Lake Havasu in 1994, to be near her daughter and husband, Linda and Mike Ball. Her daughter and husband, Donna and Jim O’Brien, lived in Tempe at that time.
A memorial service was held shortly after her passing.
A verse from “Gone From My Sight,” by Henry Van Dyke
And, just at the moment when someone says, “There, she is gone,”
there are other eyes watching her coming, and other voices
ready to take up the glad shout, “Here she comes!”
