Lake Havasu Mortuary and Crematory - Lake Havasu City, Arizona - Alvin S. Curtiss, 84, passed away at his home in Lake Havasu City, AZ. on Monday, July 02, 2006. He was born on May 04, 1923 in LaFarge, Wisconsin to Emery and Susie Dobbs. Alvin served his country proudly in the US Army from 1942 - 1944. He married his wife, Kathryn Amsden on Octoer 08, 1943. Alvin was a Lake Havasu City pioneer, moving her in 1971, coming from Wisconsin. He was a life member of the Elks, Eagles, American Legion and D.A.V. He was a private airplane pilot for many years as well as Ham radio operator and enthusiast. Alvin is survived by his daughters, Sharon Schoomaker, Linda Grunke and Terri Lynn Curtiss; sons, Roger A. (Christine) Curtiss and Thomas (Gloria) Curtiss; 5 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathyrn Curtiss and brother, Gallen Curtiss.
