Lake Havasu Mortuary and Crematory - Lake Havasu City, Arizona - Lucille Dorothy Christensen, 87, passed away at her home in Lake Havasu City, AZ. on Saturday, September 23, 2006. She was born on June 09, 1919 in Sidney, Nebraska to Henry and Anna Schmidt. Lucille moved to Lake Havasu City 7 years ago, coming from Tehachapi, California, where she lived for 5 years, prior to living there she resided in Lakewood, CA. for 20 years. She was a member of Community Presbyterian Church. Lucille married Lester Christensen on December 24, 1939 in Omaha, Nebraska. They were married for 47 years before he passed on September 24, 1987. Lucille will be remembered for the foundation she gave to her family and her affectionate smile. She was a devoted, loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great-grandmother. "Our beautiful GG will be deeply missed and loved forever". Lucille is survived by her daughters, Kay (Bob) Lee of Lake Havasu City, AZ. and Beverly Hendrickson of Littleton, CO.; grandchildren, Dorothy (Lloyd) Godsy, Les Lloyd, Cherrie (Alex) Martid, Edward Shute, Robert (Julie) Duby and Beverlee Drope; great granchildren, Catrina (Lance) Lamb, Brianna Barnes, Christopher and Brittany Drope, Heather and Nicklos Duby, Forrest, Logan and Christopher Lloyd and Justin and Corey Shute; great great grandchildren, Caitlyn and Aron Lamb and Nina Lloyd. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Christensen. No services are planned and cremation is to take place. Inurnment will be in Long Beach, CA. at a later date.
