Silver Creek Mortuary, Taylor, Arizona Michael J. O'Brien (July 25, 1946 - June 28, 2013) Michael, J. O’Brien Sr. 66, of Show Low Arizona passed away peacefully on June 28, 2013 in Show Low, Arizona. He was born in New York City, NY., on July 25, 1946 to Gloria and John O’Brien. As a teenager he moved to California where he graduated from high school and went into the Army serving in the Vietnam war and worked as a central intelligence officer, after getting out of the service Michael attended college and received his associates degree in fire science which he excelled in and later became a battalion chief for Lahabra Fire Department which he retired from in 1994 and moved to the White Mountain area. He was married to Qwen O’Brien for 40 years which preceded him in death. He is survived by his one son Mike Jr. (Lorena) O’Brien and 14 grandchildren.
