Sherryl passed away peacefully at home June 13, 2013 at the age of 50. She fought a courageous three and a half year battle with brain cancer.
Sherryl was born Aug. 31, 1962 in Riverside, Calif. She spent her childhood in the family home in Riverside and graduated from La Sierra High School.
In the past 10 years she went to several reunions and reconnected with many of her childhood and high school friends. Sherryl married Paul Roe after high school and had two daughters, Leah, Katie and a son, Paul, Jr.
They lived in Riverside and later moved to Congress, Ariz. She divorced her husband and moved to Montpilier, Idaho where she lived for several years. In 1997 she moved from Idaho to Parker, Ariz., so she could be close to her children.
Shortly after moving to Parker she met her husband Chuck and began a 16-year journey, which they both describe as the "time of our lives.”
They spent a lot of time in Cabo San Lucas, went on numerous cruises including Alaska, Caribbean and Mediterranean Seas. They traveled throughout the Western United States.
Sherryl started a custom frame shop in Parker where she framed artwork for many people in the Parker area.
Sherryl was very artistic and loved to paint and decorate homes. She loved shopping, especially when taking her grandchildren.
She was a beautiful woman and will always be remembered for her unbelievable sense of humor, her love for people and her passion for having fun and more fun with all of her friends.
Sherryl will be sadly missed by her family and numerous friends.
She was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Charles L. Baker, Jr. and her sister Lisa Griffith.
Sherryl is survived by her husband, Chuck Baker, of Parker; her mother-in-law Lorraine Baker; her mother and father Roy and Lois Havens, of Riverside; her brother, Scott Havens and sister, Cathy Wilkens, both from Riverside; daughter, Leah Juve and spouse Brady Juve, from Lake Havasu City; granddaughters, Sydney, Peyton, and Delany; son, Paul Roe. Jr. and spouse Joanna; grandson, Paul Roe; daughters, Kati Nease and spouse James Nease, of Concordia, Kan.; granddaughter, Scarlett and Juliette; best friend forever, Jo Churchill; caregiver, Cathy Dills; numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and friends.
Sherryl has been cremated and her ashes will be scattered in her favorite places: the Colorado River and Cabo San Lucas.
A Celebration of Life will be Saturday, July 27, at 6 p.m., in Parker, at the old PI Bar at 10172 Riverside Drive.
