HOLBROOK, Dessa

Norvel Owens Mortuary, Flagstaff, Arizona Dessa Holbrook (January 7, 1928 - July 5, 2013) Dessa Holbrook passed away in her sleep after a long illness July 5, 2013. She was 85. Dessa was born in Ft. Smith, AR January 7, 1928. The family moved to Salinas, Ca where she graduated from Salinas Union HS and met Bud. They were married in Reno, NV, moved to Texas a year later. They finally made their home in Odessa, TX for over 40 years. They moved to Flagstaff to be with daughter and family in 2005. She is survived by Husband of 66 years Hugh (Bud) Holbrook, daughter Gwin Filleman and Jerry of Flagstaff; grandsons Jeff Filleman and Tonya of Omaha, NE, Dan Filleman and Caitlin of Peoria, AZ, Holly Tullis and Brandyn and Dixie Callan and Tanner all of a flagstaff and one sister, Emma Underwood of Redding, CA. Dessa is also survived by 8 great grandchildren, Cam, Jake, MaKenna, Jace, Major, Cade, Reagan and Trae. Services to be held Monday July 8 at 4 pm at the Norvel Owens mortuary.
