Travis Turbyfill
On June 30th, 2013, Heaven gained a truly wonderful soul. Travis Turbyfill, 27, went to be with his Heavenly Father.
Travis is preceded in death by a grandfather he loved and adored, John Turbyfill.
He is survived by his loving wife, Stephanie; two precious daughters, Brooklyn, 2-1/2, and Brynley, 1; father and mother-in-law who he lovingly called Dad and Mom, Steve and Debbie Bons; brothers-in-law, Nick and Dan; sisters-in-law, Jodi and Catherine; nephew and niece, Jake and Katie; parents, Colleen Turbyfill and Dave Turbyfill; grandmother, Mary Turbyfill; grandparents, Ed and Loretta Hoffman; and many lifelong friends.
Travis was born on March 25, 1986, and grew up in beautiful Prescott, Ariz. He fulfilled a lifelong dream when he began his career as a wildland firefighter in 2005. Travis served in the United States Marine Corps from 2007 to 2010. He then resumed his career as a firefighter in 2011 with the Granite Mountain Hotshots, a crew of men who were not just coworkers but friends and brothers. Travis was a natural leader, a strong man with a heart of gold, and the most loving and amazing husband and father. We love him and miss him with our whole hearts. Because Travis knew Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior, we celebrate that he has been called Home.
A service for Travis will be held on Wednesday, July 10, 2013, at 9 a.m. at the Heights Church in Prescott, Ariz.
The Hampton Funeral Home, Prescott, was entrusted with the arranagements. Please visit www.hamptonfuneralhome.com to sign his guest book.
