BRINKMEYER, Herman Frank


The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona, Sunday, July 07, 2013 Herman Frank Brinkmeyer, born in Prescott, Ariz. on May 12, 1926, died in his home in Las Vegas, Nev. on June 30, 2013. Herman spent his entire youth in Prescott, attending Lincoln Elementary, Prescott Junior High and graduating from Prescott High School in 1944, where he lettered in track, football and basketball. Upon graduation, he entered in the Army Air Corps, and served as a radio operator in the Aleutian Islands until he was discharged 1946. Herman spent his entire 41-year career in various positions in the Las Vegas hotel business, retiring in 1993. Herman leaves behind, his wife of 37 years, "Cookie"; his daughters Linda and Sandy; son Robert; seven grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren. Services were July 5, 2013 in Las Vegas. A Celebration of Life is planned for Prescott friends sometime in the future. In lieu of flowers, Herman's family suggests donations to the Prescott Fire Department, in memory of the firefighters lost during the Yarnell Fire. Information provided by survivors.
