MORGAN, Richard (Rich)

Vistoso Funeral Home, Oro Valley, Arizona Richard Morgan September 22, 1931 - July 2, 2013 Rich was born on September 22, 1931 The first thing he told me about himself was that he was Assyrian. He was very proud of his heritage and wore it as a badge of honor. The word honor describes him perfectly, Rich was an honorable man. He had four children from a previous marriage but didn't hesitate for a moment to add my three children to his love and protection. We were married in 1975 and almost 38 years later he left me all too soon. He was a wonderful, loving husband and father; fiery temper and all. Rich served four years in the Air Force. He was very proud to serve his country during the Korean War. He had many minor occupations but found his calling as a captain in the Fremont Fire Department. He retired after 32 years of dedicated service. He loved being a firefighter and we have always been very proud of him. He left many friends when we retired to our beautiful Arizona home eleven years ago but made many wonderful new friends. He managed to keep up most friendships, including friends from schooldays. Our retirement was exciting in this beautiful desert but too soon was marred by his terrible disease of Pulmonary Hypertension. He bravely suffered for years until July 2, 2013 when his body decided it was time for peace and rest. Richard, I loved you so and will miss you every day for the rest of my life. Your loving wife, Carol
