The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 07/09/2013 Jackson George Sr. was born on Aug. 29, 1945, in Whiteriver. He entered into rest on June 30, 2013, in Show Low. Jackson is survived by his wife Carol J. George; sons: Dempsey George (Charlene), Jackson George Jr., Tyroy Thomas George (Kayla), Conroy J. George, Lane Roy George; daughters: Verlynda George (Robert), Sherilynn George, Jackay L. George, Ina Watt (William); stepdaughters: Cecele T. Linton, Cheryl Gordon; sister Georgiana George Truax; 18 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many relatives and friends. Jackson’s body was brought home to Carol George’s residence in North Fork for a two-night wake on Saturday, July 6, 2013, at 10 a.m. Funeral service was on Monday, July 8, 2013, at 1 p.m. at The Rose of Sharon Church in North Fork, with Pastor Samson Hinton Sr. officiating. Interment will be at the Seven Mile Hill Cemetery in Seven Mile. Arrangement was made by the Manzanita Mortuary of Whiteriver.
