Cornell, 64 stage set designer and movie projectionist for many years, died yesterday in the Phoenix VA Hospital. Mr Cornell who came to Phoenix 40 years ago from Sheridan, Wyo. was projectionist for every theatre in the city except the Aztec. For the past 2 years he had been employed by Russell Hayden Productions of Phoenix. After working in the vaudeville circuit houses in Denver, Mr Cornell came to Phoenix in 1922 and went to work for the late Harry Nace. In his long career he had projected more than 4,000 film features. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Monday in Memory Chapel of AL Moore and Sons Mortuary. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park. Mr. Cornell is survived by his wife Victoria, four daughters, Mrs. Joseph Hodgson, Mrs. John Elliott, Mrs. Harry Miles, and Mrs. Samuel Dillingham, and three sons Fred E., Larry L., and Nugget, Jr. all of Phoenix. A sister Mrs. John Christenson Sheridan, WY., 14 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
