Hope Elizabeth (Tinker) Mammano, known to friends and family as Beth, passed away July 20, 2013 after a long illness. She was born in Norwalk, Conn., Feb. 16, 1958, and moved to California as a child. She attended school in San Bernardino, including San Bernardino High School as a member of the class of 1976.
Beth was the owner of First Choice Travel in Highland for many years and delighted in helping her clients plan their dream vacations. She and her husband Bob moved to one of their favorite places in the world, Lake Havasu City, in 2004, and she continued helping people fulfill their dreams, this time as a realtor. Her own dreams were realized as well, as she and Bob were able to spend the past decade touring the country in their RV, visiting beaches, national parks, and friends and family near and far. In recent years she developed a passion for a natural and healthy lifestyle and became a vegan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, David Tinker and Joanne (Stone) Tinker. She will be dearly missed by her husband Bob; her daughter Jennifer, son-in-law Jay, and brand new seven-month old grandson Bobby, who brought immeasurable joy to her life since his early arrival in December 2012. She is also survived by her siblings, Marguerite, Kathryn and Jonathan. Her boundless love for life will be remembered always by the many friends and family members whose lives she touched.
Private services will be in Lake Havasu City, Saturday July 27. Those wishing to attend are asked email bethhavasumemorial@gmail.com. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Western Arizona Humane Society in honor of Beth’s lifelong love of animals.
