Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home, Prescott, Arizona Norman Thomas McKeown November 18, 1948 ~ July 23, 2013 Norman Thomas McKeown, 64, died at home in Dewey, Arizona on July 23rd, 2013. Norman was born November 18, 1948 in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Norman G and Isabel M. McKeown. He was a graduate of Arizona State University. He taught high school at Bradshaw Mountain High School in Prescott Valley, Arizona, for almost 30 years. He was a free thinker and taught his students to think for themselves and instructed them in “Life Lessons”. Norm enjoyed teaching, raising his sons, fishing, writing, and playing poker. He is survived by his father, Norman G. (Marilyn) McKeown , sons Garrett and Logan (Mina) McKeown, Grandchildren Anela and Melia, sister Sue Anne (Randy) Potter, and his ex-wife and good friend John A. McKeown. He will be missed by his loving family, his many students over the years, his friends and poker buddies. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the 100 Club for the Prescott Fallen 19.
