Mickey (David) Michel was born on May 23, 1949 in Bakersfield, Calif. to Beverly and Gene Michel.
He is predeceased by Gene, Beverly and Tom Michel and sister Lynda Catlin, all of Bakersfield.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years Karol Ann Michel; his daughter Riquel; and other numerous family members, grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and a sister Kerry Michel of Reno. He passed away in Karol's arms then into the arms of his heavenly father.
Mickey loved the Lord and thanked him for the time that was given to him. Mickey was an artist and pin striper. He owned Michel Signs in Bakersfield for 20 plus years. There are almost 16 murals around Bakersfield at schools where he left his mark, he loved Bakersfield.
Mickey loved Cowboy Action Shooting at 5 Dogs shooting range. He was president of the 5 Dogs Desperados, a member of CMSA, SASS lifetime member a Regional Governor, SASS mounted Regulator and Range officer. He was also a member of the California Desperados where he acquired the skill of shooting off horseback. He won numerous buckles for this. Mickey was also a Team Penner, he enjoyed everything he did. Lather he took an interest in cars. He loved his 56 Buick but then came the 37 Chevy; his friends helped him build this after becoming ill the first time that was his "Car with attitude." Mickey had so many friends. He loved each and every one of them. Thank you for being his friend.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 2, 2013 at the First Southern Baptist Church, 1524 N. Highway 89, Chino Valley, Ariz.
