Santiago ‘J.T.’ Colelay
April 28, 1991 - July 16, 2013
In loving memory of Santiago “J.T.” Colelay, who died Tuesday, July 16, 2013, in Phoenix. He was born April 28, 1991, in Show Low.
Santiago participated in wrestling at Whiteriver Elementary School, played football at Whiteriver Middle School, played basketball and was a baseball player. He was selected to the Little League All-Star team. He enjoyed playing softball with family in coed tournaments. He worked for Burger King in Whiteriver. He enjoyed fishing, camping and hanging out with friends.
A two-day wake was held starting Friday, July 26, at the residence of Raymond and Valerie Burnette in Whiteriver. A church service was held July 28 at the Canyon Day Miracle Church, with Bishop Leroy Tate officiating. Burial followed at the Whiteriver Cemetery.
Santiago loved and cherished his only child, a daughter: Santiyana Emani Colelay. “We will miss his big smile and pranks and jokes that he played on his friends and family.”
