John Michael Tumara passed away July 26, 2013 in Lake Havasu City at the age of 67. He was born July 2, 1946 to Paul and Katherine (Mehr) Tumara in Detroit, Mich. He graduated from Detroit High School in 1964. John served in the U.S. Navy from March 1965 to Nov. 1969. He was then a truck driver for 37 years.
John made Lake Havasu City his home for the last 27 years. He was a charter member of the Eagles #4299 and a member of the American Legion #81.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Ann Tumara; five children, 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild on the way; a brother, Fred Tumara, of Allen Park, Mich; and sister, Paulette Tumara, of Sterling, Mich. and several nieces and nephews. He was loved and will be missed by all.
A Celebration of Life with Honor Guard will be at noon, Saturday, Aug. 24 at the Eagles #4299 with a potluck to follow.
