Arizona Silver Belt, Globe, Arizona, Tuesday, July 30, 2013 Dawn Luan Winter, age 54, of Peoria died on Sunday, July 21, 2013 in Phoenix. Dawn was born on Jan. 20, 1959 in Chicago, Ill. to Gary and Margo (Weinert) Drake. She attended Globe High School, graduating in 1977. She continued school and became a medical assistant. At the time of her passing she worked at the Arizona Center for Chest Disease. She is survived by her husband, Paul Winter; daughters, Courtney and Alexis Winter, of Peoria; and her sister-in-law, Susan McDonald of Tucson, Ariz. A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 27, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Heritage Funeral Chapel, 6830 W. Thunderbird Road, Peoria, AZ 85381. The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Arizona Cancer Society.
