RAYMOND, Cody James


Kingman Daily Miner, Kingman, AZ - Published on July 31, 2013 - On Monday, July 22, 2013, Cody Raymond suddenly left us to be with our Lord. Born Cody James Raymond, June 21, 1996, in Kingman, Cody was a student at Kingman High School. Although Cody would have been entering his senior year, he had already earned the required credits to graduate. Cody had entered a college program his sophomore year for welding in which he had already earned a degree. Cody was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying camping, fishing, hiking and hunting. Cody loved to spend time on Lake Mead - any chance he could get out on the water and play. Cody was an accomplished motorcross rider, a sport he frequently shared with his father, brother and friends. Cody will always be remembered for his willingness to put others before himself, often setting aside his own spare time to tend to the needs of others. Cody is survived by his father, Ronald Raymond of Meadview, Ariz.; his mother, Shauna Waalkens of Kingman; his brother, J.R. Raymond of Kingman; his grandmother, Christine Rusnak of Bullhead City; his great-grandparents, Bert and Robin Jessup of Morgan Hill, Calif.; grandfather, John Raymond of Meadview; his uncle, Jack McCall of Sierra Vista; and several other aunts, uncles and cousins. A memorial service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, at the First Pentecostal Church of God in Kingman.
