ALLEN, John Morris


The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona Wednesday, July 31, 2013 John M. Allen, 91, passed away at home in Congress on July 24. He was born in Willcox on Sept. 16, 1921. The family moved to Wickenburg when John was in the third grade. John was drafted into the United States Army on his 18th birthday, and was involved in World War II and the Korean Conflict War. He made the rank of corporal and received many medals. John was a heavy equipment operator and belonged to the International Union of Operating Engineers. He worked in many mines all across the Southwest. He is survived by his wife Jackie; daughter Barbara (Rick) of Mesquite, Nev.; granddaughters Rebecca and Jennifer of Las Vegas, Nev.; and stepchildren Carla Light of Congress and Robert (Gwen) of Guam. He loved his family very much and will be greatly missed. David’s Desert Chapel in Wickenburg is handling the arrangements. ~~~~~~~ [Note: Parents were William Allen and Bertha R.
