Jim Ray, 77, resident of Bowie, died July 25, 2013, in Bowie. He was born May 6, 1936, in Glenbar in the Billy Mac House.
He is survived by his wife Adena of Vernon; two brothers: Clingham Barker Ray Jr. of Bowie and Shelby (Lynne) Ray of San Simon; children: Noma Joy Bong and Terry Lynn (Charles) Cooley, both of Taylor, Dianne Elaine (James) Farmer of Alaska, Janella Faye (Michael) Moritzky of Taylor, Jimmi Thee (Brian) Kizzar of Clay Springs, Denice (Ron) Hall of Vernon, Robert Dale (Sally) Johnson of the Philippines, Don Ray (Jeanette) Johnson of Lakeside, Roland Dane (Tanya) Johnson of Vernon, Deland Reed Johnson of Lakeside, Russell David Johnson of Lakeside; 38 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Noma and C.B. Ray, and brother Luke Edwin Ray (1944).
Funeral services were held July 29 at Ray Ranch in San Simon.
West Lawn Chapel in Willcox handled arrangements.
