The Verde Independent, Cottonwood, Arizona Tuesday, July 30, 2013 Ramon R. Betancourt, 74 of Cottonwood, passed away on July 29, 2013. He was born on Nov. 20, 1938, in Casas Grandes, Chihuahua, Mexico to Raymundo Betancourt and Nicanora Flores. Ramon was a choir member at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Ramon is survived by his wife of 49 years Manuela; sons Raymundo Betancourt (Anaceli) of Mexico, Ramon Betancourt (Rachel) of Cornville and Angel Betancourt (Silvia) of Sedona; daughters Margarita Gonzales (Moises) of Cottonwood, Elizabeth Loreto (Jose) of Cottonwood and Anna Ortega (Daniel) of Agua Prieta, Mexico; brothers Arturo Betancourt and Octavio Betancourt; sisters Evangelina Chaparvo of Neevo Casas Grandes, Chihuahua and Eustolio Munos (Concepevon) of Los Angeles, CA; 20 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Friday, Aug. 2 at Westcott Funeral Home in Cottonwood from 4-7 p.m. with rosary at 6 p.m. Mass will be held on Saturday, Aug. 3, 2013, 10:30 a.m., at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Cottonwood.
