Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Posted: Wednesday, August 7, 2013 - Michael passed away July 31, 2013 at home in Lake Havasu City. Michael was 69 years old. He was born March 28, 1944, to Phyllis Emily and Roy William Jackson in Syracuse, N.Y., the oldest of 11 children. He graduated from Massena High and Potsdam State College. Michael taught 7th, 8th and 9th grade Social Studies at Colton per central school for over 20 years. He retired in Las Vegas, later moving to Lake Havasu City in 2010 to be closer to his son’s family. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Michael in 2006; son, Sean in 2013; brother, John in 2010. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Rita Jackson; daughter-in-law, Mel Jackson and three grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home, Saturday, Aug. 17, at 11 a.m. Military Honors will be rendered by Marine Corps League Detachment 757.
