William Russell McCall, 72, passed away August 1, 2013 at his home in Yucca. He was born Jan. 23, 1941 in Long Beach, Calif. to George and Lola Kee McCall.
Long time resident of Arizona, Unites Sates Veteran, widower, avid fisherman and camper, Russell loved his family and lived his life to the fullest and enjoyed every minute. He will be deeply missed. He served in the US Army for three years as a sharpshooter and was honorably discharged. He married his late wife, Darlene McCall, May 22, 1969 in Wilmington, Calif. He moved to Yucca seven years ago, coming from Phoenix, where he lived for over 30 years. He was a member of the American Legion, Moose Lodge and ELKS BPOE.
William is survived by his children, Betty Jo (BJ) and (Jerry) Tannery, Debra “Cheri” (Martha Brondo) McCall, William (Jenni) McCall, Julie (Dennis) Debevec, Terry Oblander, Sherry (Bill) Ohring, Leela (Leon) Schopp and Norman (Suzie) Clark; sister, Tootsie Davis; 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his three sisters, one brother and his parents.
Funeral service will be at Lake Havasu Mortuary Chapel Friday, Aug. 9 at 10 a.m. with Pastor Gary Meyers officiating. Interment will follow at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens with full Military Honors presented.
