Willcox Range News, Willcox, Arizona, Tuesday, July 30, 2013 James Theo Ray 1936-2013 James Theo Ray, 77, of Bowie, Ariz. died on July 25, 2013. He was born in the “Billy Mac house” in Glenbar, Ariz. on May 6, 1936 to Clinghan Barker Ray and Noma Louise Cullen Ray. On Aug. 9, 2011 he married Adena Curtis. He had several jobs through the years that included being a cowboy, rancher and truck driver. James had an incredible sense of humor and was a great storyteller. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife Adena, and his children, Noma Joy Bong, Terry Lynn (Charles) Cooley and Janella Faye (Michael) Moritzky of Taylor, Ariz., Dianne Elaine (James) Farmer of Alaska, Jimmi Thee (Brian) Kizzar of Clay Springs, Ariz., John Sherman, Vincent Hanes and Eric Roberts of Clarkdale, Ariz., Robert Dale (Sally) Johnson in the Philippines, Don Ray (Jeannette) Johnson, Deland Reed Johnson and Russell David Johnson of Lakeside, Ariz., and Roland Dane (Tanya) Johnson and Denice (Ron) Hall of Vernon, Ariz. He is also survived by his brothers Clinghan Barker Ray, Jr. of Bowie, Ariz. and Shelby (Lynne) Ray of San Simon, Ariz., 38 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren. James was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Luke Edwin Ray who died in 1944. Private family services will be held. Online condolences may be sent to www.westlawnchapelmortuary.com.
