Beatrice "Bea" Gracia Maria Cianchetti, age 95, went home to be with the lord on August 11, 2013, surrounded by her family in Albuquerque, N. M.
Bea was born in Dow, Okla., on July 31, 1918, to Joeseppi and Pierina Cosenza. She was one of five children with two brothers and two sisters.
She married her high school sweet heart Americo Cianchetti on June 2, 1940, in Chicago, Illinois, where she was a resident there of approximately 20 years.
Prior to her marriage she was a surgical assistant at a Chicago hospital before becoming a devoted wife and mother of their five children.
While raising her school aged children she also worked part-time as a beautician. Her and her family moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico, in 1952 to follow her husbands career, where he was employed as an engineer for Sandia Corporation until he retired in 1979.
The couple then moved to Arizona in 1981 where they lived in Mesa and then moved to the Verde Valley in 1983.
After her husband's death, Bea devoted her time to her adult children and grandchildren and the community.
She was well loved and respected by her neighbors and fellow brothers and sisters of the First Assembly of God Church in both Camp Verde and Cottonwood for the beautiful floral arrangements she made weekly for the church and the many homemade spaghetti dinners she prepared for social gatherings.
Bea returned to Albuquerque, N.M. the final year of her life to spend time with family members. Bea was a kind soul and a beautiful woman who cared deeply for her family and community.
She was a true example of God's love and her absence will run deep in the many people she touched.
Bea was preceded in death by her parents, four siblings and husband.
She is survived by son, Richard Cianchetti and wife Kelly; son, Norman Cianchetti and wife Irma; daughter, Charlotte Cianchetti and husband Robert Portrey; son, Gary Cianchetti and wife Hilda; son, Wayne Cianchetti, wife Eva; 16 grandchildren (two continue to reside in the Verde Valley, Melanie Cianchetti-Schmid and Matthew Mullis) and 27 great grandchildren. She also has numerous nieces and nephews who continue to reside in Chicago, Illinois.
A Memorial Service is being held in Albuquerque, New Mexico on Aug. 16, 2013.
Bea will be returning to Arizona where she will go to her final resting place. A grave side service will be held at the Sedona Community Cemetery on Saturday, August 17, 2013 @ 3 pm.
