LOCATIS, Bernice

Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Posted: Sunday, August 18, 2013 - Bernice Locatis, 85, passed away Aug. 12, 2013 in Lake Havasu City. Bernice was born in 1928 in Rockwell City, Iowa. In 1948, she married Leo Locatis and they moved to Reseda, Calif., where they lived until moving to Lake Havasu in 1972. While in Havasu, Bernice worked many years for the Lake Havasu Unified School District until her retirement. She always loved the outdoors, camping and desert excursions with her family and friends, and tending her plants. Bernice is survived by her four children, Larry (Betty) Locatis, Butch (Debbie) Locatis, Patti Locatis, and Danny (Christie) Locatis, all of Lake Havasu. She was also blessed with five grandchildren, Travis, Justin, Josh, Tyler, and Troy; and five great-grandchildren, James, Kylee, Kadan, Lincoln, and Alex. She is also survived by her brother, Roger Will, of Emmetsburg, Iowa. Bernice was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Leo; and great-grandson Logan. She will be greatly missed by family and friends. As per her wishes, no services will be held. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Humane Society or your favorite charity.
