GERMONE, Nancy

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 08/20/2013 Nancy Baggs Germone, 70, longtime resident of Scottsdale and Pinetop, died Aug. 14, 2013. She was born in Shaker Heights, Ohio, and spent most of her childhood in Hudson, Ohio, moving to the Valley in 1958. She attended Arcadia High School and Arizona State University. While attending ASU, she met her first husband John Baggs Jr., with whom she spent 13 amazing years until his untimely death in 1976 while serving his country. In March 1979, she married Robert Germone. They were married for 34 years. He passed away in May 2013. She loved her family and friends, Arizona sports and volunteering her time at the local animal shelter in Pinetop. She is survived by her sons: Kelly (Christine), Kevin (Shawna), John III (Amber) and Shawn (Trisha); sister Jean Armett; 15 grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 22, at Messinger Mortuary, 7601 E. Indian School Road in Scottsdale. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of the White Mountains, P.O. Box 909, Lakeside, AZ 85929. Messinger Indian School Mortuary of Scottsdale handled arrangements.
