Arizona Silver Belt, Globe, Arizona, Wednesday, August 21, 2013 Rebecca B. Horta, age 88 of Globe, Ariz. passed away on Aug. 5, 2013 in Tempe, Ariz. She was born in Globe, Ariz. on Dec. 16, 1924, the daughter of Lee and Louisa (Garcia) Bracamonte. Rebecca was a loving homemaker all her life, wonderful house wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She loved cooking Mexican food for her family and made the best tortillas to help out Little League and Babe Ruth. She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. Rebecca is preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Louisa Bracamonte; her husband, Edward Horta; her daughter, Rebecca (Orty) Horta; her brothers, Ralph Bracamonte, Louie Bracamonte, Jesus Bracamonte, Jim Bracamonte and Carlos Bracamonte; her sisters, Ernestine Garcia and Josephine Hernandez; and her grandson, Lenny Aceves. Rebecca is survived by her daughter, Lorena Aceves (Leonard) of Mesa, Ariz.; her sons, Edward Horta (Marian) of Globe, Ariz. and Anthony Horta of Florence, Ariz.; seven grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 17 great-great-grandchildren. Memorial services were held Saturday, Aug. 17, 2013 at 10 a.m. at Holy Angels Catholic Church. Ashes were interned at Globe Cemetery Assisting the family; Lamont Mortuary of Globe.
