MAHAN, Linda Gale

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 08/23/2013 Linda Gale Howell (Mahan), 61, of Show Low died Saturday, Aug. 10, 2013, in Phoenix. She was born Aug. 21, 1951, in Milltown, Ind., the daughter of the late Jeff and Cora Howell. Linda left the small town of Milltown, Ind., and traveled the world with her family, spending two years on the Island of Java in the country of Indonesia. She later lived throughout the United States, enjoying family between Indiana and Arizona. She spent a lot of time with her children and grandchildren and sacrificed through hard work to make a better life for them. Her son, Brad, dedicated a portion of his life as a caregiver to Linda during her sickness. Linda was preceded in death by the father of her children, Patrick Mahan Sr. She is survived by her three children: Patrick Mahan Jr. of Phoenix, Brad Mahan of Jeffersonville, Ind., and Angie Wilson (Jeff) of Georgetown, Ind.; three brothers and one sister: Jeff Howell (Theresa) of St. Marys, Ohio, Dennis Howell (Kathy) of Leavenworth, Ind., Doug Howell (Sandy) of Ramsey, Ind., and Sandy DeWeese (Bill); three grandchildren: Ashley, Sam and Madison of Georgetown, Ind. The families in Indiana and Arizona privately held memorial services.
