GANGGANG, Robert Duane (Bob)


The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona, Saturday, August 24, 2013 Robert Duane Gang, 82, who resided in Dewey and Glendale, Ariz., passed away on Sunday, Aug. 18, 2013. Robert (Bob) was born in 1931 to Harold and Marie Gang and grew up in Elkhart, Ind., with his brother Richard and sister Shirley. Bob served in the Navy and Air Force during the Korean War. After his discharge, he went to work as a draftsman for the Adams & Westlake company in Elkhart, Ind., where he met "the prettiest girl he ever saw", Marian June Myers. Not one to wait, they wed that same year, in 1954, and raised three children together. In the early 1970s, Bob went into architectural sales and moved the family to southern New Jersey. He transferred seven years later to Columbus, Ohio, and furthered his career in the early 1980s in Los Angeles. Eventually he and Marian retired to Dewey, Ariz., where after 45 years of marriage Marian passed away in 1999. He remarried in 2001 to Alice Marie Lalli and they split their time between Dewey and Glendale. Bob is survived by wife Alice; sister Shirley; sons Gary and Rob; and daughter Gayle; his grandchildren; and his stepchildren and their families. Bob was well-admired by those who knew him. He was a kind and generous man and will be greatly missed and always remembered. A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 29, 2013, at Heritage Memorial Park in Dewey, Ariz.
