Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Posted: Wednesday, August 28, 2013 >> June Carmen Murphy << >> June 1, 1929 — Aug. 24, 2013 << On a warm August morning in Lake Havasu City, June Carmen Murphy passed away at the Polidori House in Lake Havasu City after an 18-month battle with cancer, at the age of 84. She was born to Stella and John Kinshella June 1, 1929, in Hallock, Minn., just south of the Canadian border. June moved to northern Illinois with her family, following World War II. She worked as a cashier, then as a dental technician in Chicago. She was married to Todd C. Lyster, and later married J. Delbert Murphy. June managed Murphy Auto Wreckers with her husband Delbert, until shortly after his death in 1986. She later became a store manager for Brand’s Nut Factory in Wauconda, Ill., until her retirement in 1995. June moved to Lake Havasu City in 2010 with her son and daughter-in–law, and ultimately settled at Prestige Nursing at Claremont. June was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters Jerry and Carol; and her husband, Delbert. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Heidi Lyster, of Lake Havasu City; and grandchildren Natalie and Colin Lyster. Services will be private. Donations may be directed to Hospice of Havasu and Polidori House, whose care and support were outstanding and sincerely appreciated by June and her family.
