The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 08/30/2013 Hugh Walker, 76, of Canyon Day died Monday, Aug. 26, 2013, at Mountain Vista Medical Center in Mesa. He was born May 5, 1937, in Canyon Day to Edward and Stella Walker. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Hedy Declay Walker. He was a great father to Darrell, Randy, Leo, Daniel, Elouise and Ryan Walker and a wonderful grandfather and great-grandfather. A wake will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 31, at his residence in Canyon Day. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 2, at the Canyon Day Miracle Church. Silver Creek Mortuary of Taylor and Whiteriver handled arrangements.
