She married Robert Elmer Murphy and they raised four children in Manhattan Beach, Calif. Ruby leaves behind her husband of 32 years, Harvey Earl Hixson and her four children, Ellen (Ed) White, of Eagle Rock, Mo., Susan (Ken) Dade, of Dolores, Colo., Bob (Carolyn) Murphy, of Yucca Valley, Calif., and Maryanne (Jim) Abdon, of Lake Havasu City. She had eight grandchildren, Janet Alcorn, Nancy Burleson, Garrett Dade, Jeff Murphy, Tami Pilgrim, and David, Kevin and Jason Abdon. Ruby had 13 great-grandchildren, Jason, Jacob, Bobby, Aubrey, Sierra, Taylor, Robbie, Emily and Rider; and five great great-grandchildren, Nicolas, Kailee, Caleb, Brandon and Matthew. Ruby lived in Manhattan Beach for 66 years. She had many friends and neighbors who were dear to her, including her friends at the early morning Mass, and those friends she made as she walked all over Manhattan Beach. Se was a sweet woman spreading love, hugs and happiness and she will be dearly missed by all.
