He attended Valley High in Sanders, AZ, enjoyed horseback riding, painting and Kachina doll making. Worked for the Railroad. He is survived by his daughter, Loretta L. Sanders of Gilbert, AZ; granddaughters Jessica L. Sanders and Sierra L. Sanders both of Gilbert, AZ; sister Phyllis Watson of Albuquerque, NM and Josephine Begay of Gallup, NM. Preceded in death by his father Robert Ashley, mother Edna Ashley, sisters Irene Ashley, Mary Ross, Dorothy Dalgai and significant other Miranda Gene.
