Bowen Jack died Friday, Aug. 30, 2013, at Hospice Family Care in Prescott, Ariz. He was born July 31, 1929, in Terre Haute, Ind., the son of Dwight and Myrtle Bowen. Jack was 84 years old. He served in the United States Army as a paratrooper and retired as a police officer with the Long Beach Police Department in Long Beach, Calif. He married Linda Byers on Jan. 24, 1983. Jack was very proud of his service in the U.S. Army and as a police officer. He is survived by his loving and caring wife Linda; a son; grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
