Wickenburg Funeral Home & Crematory, Wickenburg, Arizona Neil Castro March 19, 1951 ~ September 4, 2013 Neil B. Castro, age 62, passed away unexpectedly September 4, 2013 at his home in Wittmann, Arizona. Neil was born March 19, 1951 in Wickenburg, Arizona to Alfred G. Castro and Emma Eckles Castro. He was raised here and attended schools in Wickenburg later enlisting in the U.S. Navy. Following his military service he returned to the area and worked in various restaurants in the area as a cook and managing restaurants. He lived in Salome for years and operated the International Inn Restaurant. He was a member of the V.F.W. and the Wickenburg Christian Fellowship Church. Neil was preceded in death by his wife Dixie in 2007 and sisters Carmen Macias and Patricia Alexander. He is survived by children: Valarie (Lee) Griggs of Louisiana, Vicki (Dale) Sams of Prescott, Vanessa Pontious of Wittmann, Valinda Vickers of Idaho, Veronica (Richard) Neumann of Chandler and Amanda Castro of Wittmann, brother George (Sandy) Castro of Glendale, sisters Ial Castro of Iowa, grandchildren: James Griggs, Tyler Fulks, Alissa Pontious, Nathan Sams, Austin Sams, Bethany Sams, Delon Johnson, Kandice Emerson, Ashlee Bell, Whitney Eselgroth, Aliyah Chambers and 5 great-greatgrandchildren. Graveside services with military honors will be held on September 28, 2013 at 10:00 AM at the Wickenburg Municipal Cemetery.
