RANDALL, Robert C. (Bob)

Norvel Owens Mortuary, Flagstaff, Arizona Robert C. Randall (November 3, 1941 - September 1, 2013) Robert C. Randall began life on November 3, 1941 and passed from this life on September 1, 2013 in Winslow, Arizona. Bob was enveloped by love from his wife, Annette and his family at the moment his spirit was lifted up. His passing, much like his life was filled with toughness, grace and courage after a battle with cancer. Most knew him as “Bob” and his high school friends called him “Tub” but all knew he lived an exciting and productive life. After graduating from Winslow High School in 1959, he served in the Arizona National Guard. His unit was called up to active duty and he served his country in the US Army. After being honorably discharged, he stated his career in law enforcement as an officer in the Arizona Highway Patrol. Bob married Patricia Ann Howard in September 1960 and together they conceived four daughters. Although Patricia preceded Bob in passing, his daughters Marcy, Paige, Panda and George Amanda remain here to remember and honor him. Bob spent many years as an officer in the Arizona Department of Corrections until he was injured and disabled doing his duty. Besides wearing a badge, Bob also had opportunities to be employed as a miner, paper mill employee, construction worker, apartment superintendent, and all around handyman. He believed in working hard and he pushed himself to be productive even if he was in a lot of pain. He could not sit still even after he was disabled, he worked at Sam’s Club and Wal-Mart, often in excruciating pain. Bob was famous, not only for his toughness, but also for his humor. His repository of jokes spanned all genres, from family friendly to mature audiences only. His friends and family anxiously awaited his telling of new jokes and humorous stories. Bob was married to his loving wife Annette LeBaron (Webster) on July 20, 1990 in Thatcher, Arizona. Annette and Bob moved to Winslow to be close to His father Richard Randall. Bob and Annette shared their families and helped each other raise their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as helping care for Richard, who survives Bob’s passing. Bob is missed by three brothers: Kent, Bill and Mike and two sisters: Betty and Doris. Bob is loved by his daughters and grandchildren Marcy (Ron) Young and their children Stephanie, Ivan, Baily and Sydney; Paige (Mills) Logan; Panda (Joe) Jobe and their children Haven, Nash, Legend, Jax, and Ridge; George Amanda (Greg) Briggs and children Turin, Emily, Rachel, Richard and Matthew. Annette was continuously at Bob’s side- comforting and caring for him until his passing. Bob was a father and grandfather to Annette’s son Doug and his children Sadie and Ryan. Another son, Shannon (Chrissy) gave them Charissa, and Tami, her daughter blessed Bob with a granddaughter, Serena. Bob will be fondly remembered and loved by five great grandchildren and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews and friends. A celebration of Bob’s life will begin with a viewing at 9:30 am on Saturday, September 7th, 2013 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1501 N. Kinsley Ave., Winslow, Arizona. Services will follow at 10:030, am also at the LDS Church. Graveside services will be at 2:00 pm in Desert View Cemetery, Winslow, Arizona. Bob lived a wonderful, happy and productive life that will live on through his legacy. Please come and enjoy his memory.
