The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona, Sunday, September 08, 2013 Joyce Myers Keats was born on Oct. 29, 1937, in Putnam, Conn., to John and Louise Myers. She graduated from Enfield High School in 1955. She was married to William Frederic Andrews in 1957 and has four surviving children from this marriage, Lori (John) Prescott, Debra (Al) Courts, Gregg Andrews and Scott (Vinee) Andrews. Joyce also had six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Additionally, Joyce is survived by her sisters, Shirley Goldstein and Lyn Beauchamp, and her former husband, Gene Keats. Joyce was employed by Avon as a district sales manager in Prescott from 1974 to 1985. Upon her retirement, Joyce became active in the local General George Crook chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and rose to Chapter Regent. She was also a member of The National Society of Colonial Dames as well as Daughters of the American Colonists. Joyce volunteered many thousands of hours doing genealogical research for the benefit of others. She loved to garden, cook, sew and travel to Maine. Joyce had many friends locally and across the United States. She was deeply loved by many and will be greatly missed. Joyce was an intensely private woman and as such requested that no services take place. She will be interred in Putnam, Conn. In lieu of a service, her children have requested donations be made in her memory to either Good Samaritan Hospice or the Yavapai Humane Society in Prescott. Information provided by survivors.
