STAFFORD, Mary Margaret

The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona, Sunday, September 08, 2013 Mary Margaret Stafford, 69, passed away on Sept. 3, 2013, in Chino Valley, Ariz. She was born on Feb. 7, 1944, in Philadelphia, Pa. to James and Mary (Masterson) O'Neill. Mary attended Bensalem High School. She made a career in retail sales and later gave back to her community by being a companion with People Who Care for many years in the tri-city area. She loved yard sales and bowling. But her passion was her family. Mary was a giving person her whole life. Her family was her life; she treasured them and spent all her energy and time with them. She will be missed by all who knew her. She touched so many lives. Mary is survived by her husband of more than 52 years, Samuel; her sons, Samuel Jr. and Charles (Jess) Stafford; daughters Christine Barron, Victoria (Nathan) Ferguson and Melissa (Paul) Berkemeier; grandchildren Melissa Barron, Nicole Barron, Rebecca Stafford, Emily Stafford, Josh Stafford, Joseph Stafford, Stephanie Stafford, Jason Stafford, Jacob Hackley, Madeline Ferguson and Wyatt Berkemeier; and great-granddaughter Madison Stafford. She was preceded in death by her son, William J. Stafford. A gathering of Mary's friends and family will be from 2 to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2013, at Hampton Funeral Home, 240 S.
