Clemens March 26, 1929 ~ September 10, 2013 Dorothy P. Clemens, 84, died peacefully Tuesday, September 10, 2013. She was born in Akron, Ohio on March 26, 1929. Dorothy attended Ball State University where she met Curtis Eugene (Gene) Clemens, her husband of 63 years. They married March 18, 1950. Dorothy and Gene lived in Portland and Berne, Indiana until 2008 when they moved to Prescott, Arizona. Dorothy taught 5th grade for 30 years in Indiana. She was an active member of the Berne Library Board and the Reading Teacher's Association. She loved to knit and to read. She enjoyed travel, walks on the beach collecting shells, and baking cookies for her grandsons. She is survived by her husband Gene; children Karen Warrick and James D. Clemens of Prescott, Arizona; and two grandsons Christopher Clemens and Tyler Clemens. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to United Methodist Church of Prescott, 505 W. Gurley, Prescott, AZ 86301. Main Street in Farmland, IN. Prayer service and burial will be held for Dorothy, and she will be laid to rest with her family, at the Woodlawn Cemetery 8000 W Maxville Road Winchester Indiana 47394.
