Silver Creek Mortuary, Taylor, Arizona Lynn G. Dayton (July 10, 1957 - September 6, 2013) Lynn was born in Provo, Utah on July 10th, 1957 and suddenly passed away on September 6, 2013 at age 56. His parents are Gary and Zona Dayton of Orem, Utah. And siblings Cliff, Deanna (Ashman) and Roger. He graduated from Orem High School in 1977. He was an Eagle Scout. He served an LDS Mission in the Pennsylvania, Harrisburg Mission and never stopped being a missionary. He graduated in Business/Sales at UVSC. He met his sweetheart, Marty Miller of Joseph City, Arizona and quickly asked her to spend eternity with him. They were sealed in the Mesa, Arizona temple on Valentine’s Day 1981. They made their home in Orem, UT for the first 11 years and then moved to Snowflake, Arizona where they have lived for the past 22 years. Lynn was an extremely hard worker and ran a successful cleaning business and was a good provider for his family. Lynn served faithfully in the church and throughout the years some of his favorite callings were: Young Men’s President, Bishopric Counselor, Stake High Counselor, Sunday School President, Elders Quorum Presidency, Ward Mission Leader, and Singles Branch Presidency. He had such a special love for the young adults and missionaries and was one at heart. He won the Utah State Championship of Collegiate salesmanship and went on to nationals. He used that skill the rest of his life to persuade people to buy things they didn’t really want or need. He was told many times he could sell ice to an Eskimo. He was very unique and could get away with things that no one else could. He could make anyone’s day with his animated, high energy personality and his never quiet amplified voice. One of his greatest talents was his ability to reach out to people, make them feel comfortable, and could make instant friends with a complete stranger and had no inhibitions. He was the most forgiving man and never held a grudge against anyone. He never lost his temper and had no enemies (that we know of). He was always especially kind to the underdog. He had the complete love of Christ. He loved to celebrate holidays and birthdays like no one else and loved receiving as much as giving. He always had a plan in the works for vacations. Some of his most enjoyable times were spent four wheeling, camping, fishing, joking, watching BYU football, playing cards with friends, immaculately grooming his yard, evening walks, going out to dinner (he was slightly obsessed with always knowing ahead of time what his next meal would be), and being the life of the party, but above all his greatest treasures in life were his wife, children and grandchildren. His wife, Marty; Children, Brittney (Aaron) Bond (Mesa, AZ), Domini (Porter) Caldwell (San Angelo, TX), Taylor (Natalie) Dayton (Tucson, AZ); grandchildren, Brynlie Bond (7), Dayton Bond (4), Kambree Bond (1), Mallory Caldwell (4), Kaisley Caldwell (1). He was a kind and loving husband and father. He was the best grandpa and the kids couldn’t get enough of his fun, spontaneous personality. He had special nicknames for each of his grandkids and was very involved in their lives. He had a genuine excitement for life and lived for everything his kids did. A viewing will be held Friday, September 13, 2013, from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Temple View Chapel, in Snowflake, Arizona. Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2013, at 9:00 a.m., at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Main Street Chapel in Snowflake, Arizona. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. at the LDS Main Street Chapel in Snowflake, Arizona. Interment will be at the Mike Ramsey Memorial Cemetery in Snowflake, Arizona.
