SUTTLES, Donna Jo

The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona, Wednesday, September 11, 2013 Donna Jo Suttles (née Stanley), 74, of Prescott Valley, Ariz., passed away with her husband by her side on Sunday evening, Sept. 8, 2013, of natural causes. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13, 2013, at The Church of the Nazarene in Prescott Valley, Ariz., with Pastor Charlie Hail officiating. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Sunshine Funeral Homes of Prescott Valley. Donna was born to Joe and Floy Stanley in Quanah, Texas, on Aug. 16, 1939. She attended grade school in Morenci, Ariz., and graduated from high school in Clifton, Ariz. She also graduated from Devry Dental School in San Diego, Calif. She retired from JC Penney. Donna married J.L. Suttles on Nov. 12, 1955, and their love remained true and constant for the next 57 years. Donna was an avid reader, and loved gardening and traveling with her husband. Donna is survived by her husband, J.L. Suttles; daughter Debra Barry of Los Lunas, N.M., son Jay Suttles of Las Vegas, Nev., and daughter Pamela Haws, who preceded her mother in death. She is also survived by seven grandsons, James Summers, Kevin Summers, Jeremiah Turner, Christopher Haws, Trevor Turner and Andrew Haws, as well as many great-grandchildren, other family and friends.
