Gilberte (Joly) Carey of Woonsocket, RI, 82, passed away on August 10,
2013 in Phoenix, AZ. She passed peacefully at home surrounded by
family.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years Raymond, sons Paul,
Roger, and Robert and seven grandchildren and on great grand-daughter.
She was born in Woonsocket, RI, graduated from St. Clair's High School
in 1949, married to Raymond on November 25, 1956. The family lived in
north Smithfield until 1988 when they decided to move to Phoenix, AZ to get away from the cold. She was a caring and giving person always
volunteering her time and money where needed.
She volunteered every Friday at Boswell Hospital for the last 10 years, at Salvation Army store in Sun City, and also ather church taking communion to the sick and home-bound. Gilberte loved to play bingo and crochet blankets that she would donate to the VA. She will be missed by all who knew her because of her kind heart.
A mass will be held at St. Thomas More, 6180 W. Utopia, Glendale, AZ on September 5, 2013 at 10:00 AM. Funeral services will be held on rhw same day at 2:00 PM at Veterans National Cemetery.
