McDougal's Caldwell Funeral Chapel, Safford, Arizona Edward Raymond Sanders, Jr. April 3, 1943 ~ September 17, 2013 Edward Raymond “Ray” Sanders, 70, of Safford, entered into Eternal Life on Tuesday, September 17, 2013, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on April 3, 1943 in Bisbee, AZ to Edward and Ruby Sanders. He married Linda Rutherford on June 30, 1973, in Tucson, AZ. He is survived by his wife Linda, of Safford; son, Wade Sanders of Safford; daughter, Kerri (Les) Hendricks of Safford; and two grandchildren, Hannah Hendricks, and Haydyn Hendricks both of Safford. A Memorial Service to celebrate the life of Ray Sanders, will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 28, 2013 at the Grace Lutheran Church, 225 W. Main Street, in Safford, with Pastor Paul Schulz officiating. Interment will be in the Safford Cemetery with military honors by the Gila Valley Honor Guard.
