FRAILING, Gary

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 09/17/2013 Gary Frailing, 67, of Show Low died unexpectedly Friday, Sept. 13, in a fatal motorcycle collision. He was born April 12, 1946, in Michigan. He joined the Navy at a young age and was able to travel extensively, working on aircraft carriers. Gary then met and fell in love with the love of his life, Karen. They were married April 19, 1983, in Brea, Calif. Their love story has endured for over 30 years and will continue to transcend time. Gary was the best father in the world to his two daughters, raising them as his own. He also had three sons. Gary was an incredibly successful business owner. He had several notable achievements during his career. Among them was installing the ventilation in sections of the White House, as well as other government facilities, specialty hospitals (such as Children’s Hospital of Orange County), major shopping malls and many more. He always provided for all of his family, friends and employees. He was generous to a fault, even towards people he didn’t know. When Gary decided to retire, he looked long and hard before he and Karen decided to retire in Show Low. He continued to work and be highly active in the community, helping everywhere he was needed. He loved riding his motorcycle, being a pilot, traveling, playing at the local casino and spending time with the people he loved and respected. Above all else, Gary’s biggest passion (aside from loving Karen) were his grandchildren. His world revolved around them. He loved spoiling, playing, laughing, traveling and loving them. Gary is survived by his loving wife of over 30 years, Karen; five children and several beautiful grandkids. He has also left behind several of his best friends that will be missing him terribly, and you all know who you are. Funeral services will take place Saturday, Sept. 21, at the Community Presbyterian Church, 1940 S. Penrod Lane in Pinetop at 4 p.m. (across from St Mary of the Angels Catholic Church). There will be a celebration of Gary’s life immediately following in the banquet room at the church. “We encourage all of Gary’s extended family and friends that would like to pay their final respects to please join us.”
