WESTERSON, Peggy Pawnee


Greer’s Mortuary of Winslow, Winslow, Arizona Peggy Pawnee Westerson April 15, 1932 - September 10, 2013 Pawnee Westerson passed away on September 10, 2013 at her home in Bullhead City, Arizona. She was 81 years of age and had recently battled lung cancer. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Pawnee was born on April 15, 1932 in Denver, Colorado. She married William Westerson in 1951 in Winslow, Arizona. They left Arizona for Southern California in 1953 and started a family. She was a wonderful house wife and periodically worked part-time jobs at various department stores. Following William’s retirement from Santa Fe Railroad in 1989, they moved back to Arizona, settling in Bullhead City, where she lived out her life. Pawnee enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, decorating, and collecting Southwest Indian art. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, William Westerson, brother William Stewart, daughter Danette Clements (Donald) of Riverside, CA, son Steven Westerson (Shauna) of Rocklin, CA, and grandchildren Kendra Karimi (Sirus), Breanne Alshin (Craig), Deja Westerson, Dwight Westerson, and Brennan Westerson.
